Approvals ILSAC Motor Oil

ILSAC GF-1

The ILSAC GF-1 standard indicates the oil meets both API SH and the Energy Conserving II (EC-II) requirements. It was created in 1990 and upgraded in 1992 and became the minimum requirement for oil used in American and Japanese automobiles.

ILSAC GF-2

ILSAC GF-2 replaced GF-1 in 1996. The oil must meet both API SJ and EC-II requirements. The GF-2 standards requires 0W-30, 0W-40, 5W-20, 5W-30, 5W-40, 5W-50, 10W-30, 10W-40 and 10W-50 motor oils to meet stringent requirements for phosphorus content, low temperature operation, high temperature deposits and foam control.

ILSAC GF-3

An ILSAC GF-3 an oil must meet both API SL and the EC-II requirements. The GF-3 standard has more stringent parameters regarding long-term effects of the oil on the vehicle emission system, improved fuel economy and improved volatility, deposit control, and viscosity performance. The standard also requires less additive degradation and reduced oil consumption rates over the service life of the oil.

ILSAC GF-4

ILSAC GF-4 is similar to the API SM service category, but it requires an additional sequence VIB Fuel Economy Test (ASTM D6837).

ILSAC GF-5

Introduced in October 2010 for 2011 and older vehicles, designed to provide improved high-temperature deposit protection for pistons and turbochargers, more stringent sludge control, improved fuel economy, enhanced emission control system compatibility, seal compatibility, and protection of engines operating on ethanol-containing fuels up to E85.

ILSAC GF-6

The ILSAC GF-6 specification is currently in development and will probably be divided into two sub-specifications. ILSAC GF-6A will be fully backward compatible with ILSAC GF-5 but would offer better fuel economy, better engine protection, and improved performance while maintaining durability. ILSAC GF-6B would deliver a similar performance as ILSAC GF-5A but will allow lower viscosity oils like xW-16, taking advantage of the fuel economy benefits offered by the new SAE 16 viscosity grade.

Toyota Vitz Generations

Toyota Vitz 2014 (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021), 3st generation

Toyota Vitz is a car in which the concept of simplicity from Toyota is embodied. The range of modifications includes cars with a 1 and 1.3-liter engine, there is also a sport modification RS with a 1.5-liter engine. The style created by Greek designers has become a new trend in the design of numerous compact Japanese cars. The dashboard in the center of the dashboard is one of the characteristic features of the interior. The first Vitz for all years of its existence was produced in a great number of modifications. There are three- and five-door versions, front and four-wheel drive, three types of transmissions: manual, automatic and variator. The simplest version is offered with manual 5-speed gearbox, manual air conditioner, two airbags and ABS. In more expensive options one can find a digital dashboard, automatic transmission, electric drive of windows and mirrors, LCD with navigation, automatic air conditioner, additional places for storage of small items. The main advantage of Vitz is the interior, which, despite its small size, can accommodate 5 people, and even four large adults will sit comfortably. Again, despite the modest size of the cabin, Vitz is also convenient for carrying small loads – with the folded back seat you get quite a decent luggage compartment. Sports RS versions are interesting not only for their stuffing, but also for their “sports car” appearance: bodykit, special alloy wheels, rear spoiler. Among other things, the RS models are distinguished by reinforced brakes and suspension, instrument cluster with white scales and standard tachometer, aluminum sill plates, leather steering wheel.

Toyota Vitz 2010 (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014), 2st generation

The third generation of the Toyota Vitz compact hatchback saw the light at the end of 2010, five years after the previous one. The body has acquired a wider silhouette and became more stable. The wheelbase is 50 mm longer than the predecessor’s one – at the expense of this the interior became even more spacious. However, it almost has not changed in width, but the length has increased significantly – up to 1915 mm. The car now has finally lost an automatic transmission in favor of a variator, but, as before, there is a “manual”, and a four-wheel drive, and a separate turbocharged engine for an exclusive sports version. Luxury, as far as it is possible to say about a representative of the compact class, now emphasizes the interior with ivory fabric seats trim, heated driver’s seat, climate system with air ionizer, multifunctional TFT-display, which shows many parameters, including rates of economic driving, and in different modes, up to the history of the “eco-wallet” (when you can compare fuel costs with the readings of previous months). This display is combined with the dashboard, which in the new model returned to its usual place in front of the steering column. The Vitz has a decent size trunk – width 1,080 mm and height 800 mm. As before, the interior abounds with additional compartments for various items.

Toyota Vitz 2005 (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010), 1st generation

The new-generation Vitz, although inferior to the previous generation in the number of packages, but in general has improved its equipment. It is especially noticeable in the innovations in the interior – the new, original control panel of climate system with big “knobs” and integrated into them buttons as if appeared from more expensive car according to the class – the same as the internal trimming of doors with armrests of new form and expressed hint at sportiness. In the expensive configurations there are leather inserts, multifunction steering wheel and smart key. The back seat of Vitz can be moved back and forth and folded in different positions, thus achieving the most optimal location of cargo in the trunk. By the way, it has “double bottom”, so you can hide small items under the floor in the luggage compartment. Two gloveboxes in front of the front passenger, and a drawer under the seat will allow to place even more all kinds of “little things”. For the sporty RS version, seats with improved lateral support, an exhaust pipe nozzle, tachometer in the dashboard, wheel rims with the original “castings” and other options are offered.
