Subaru Tribeca Generations
Subaru Tribeca 2007 (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013), 2th generation
While the previous Tribeca didn’t have the most popular look, the 2008 model came with a new restyled front and rear. Not impressed with the new design, rather banal, the base Tribeca model came with 18-inch alloy wheels as standard. The Tribeca came with 3 levels of interior trim: base, limited, and premium. The base model was pretty well equipped: heated seats, power windows and doors, a radio-controlled steering wheel, and an MP3 jack. It did not have a telescopic steering wheel. The maximum package offered the option of adding a 3rd row of seats, suitable for the smallest family members because of the limited head and legroom. Access to the 3rd tow was made easier with sliders on the 2nd row. The 2008 model had an improved engine, a 3.6-liter opposition engine that ran on regular gasoline. The fuel capacity was similar to the previous Tribeca. The new engine developed 250 hp and had increased torque.
Subaru Tribeca 2005 (2005, 2006, 2007), 1th generation
Subaru introduced the first generation Tribeca in 2005, and it was one of the best examples of how not to design an SUV. Subaru had a few design flaws before the Tribeca, but the big SUV was above it all. Its front fascia was the most talked about part of the car. Its arrangement with three grilles looked obscene. Its headlights looked like they were forced on this car. It was a proper SUV from then on. It was slightly longer than the Legacy Outback, which shared the same platform. The manufacturer made the taillights small, narrow, and quite high for the height of the car. Inside, Subaru’s designers looked like they didn’t know how to make a dashboard for such a car. Its instrument cluster was hard to understand. The automaker placed the speedometer and tachometer in the form of binoculars, and then placed the fuel and temperature gauges on the outside in a place where they were hard to see. Subaru offered the Tribeca a seven-seat option, but with minimal space for the last row. To compensate, the automaker moved the middle row forward. The best part of the Tribeca was the platform. It was an extended version of the Outback with a double wishbone suspension in the rear. With its six-cylinder engine and symmetrical all-wheel-drive system, the SUV handled better than most of its competitors.
