With a unique style appealing to young people, the Nissan Cube was a small, spacious car designed for small Japanese families. While the Cube shared a platform with the Nissan Micra, there was plenty of room in the small car, more than in many midsize cars. The relatively comfortable Nissan Cube had a large bench in the back, and the rear passengers had plenty of headroom. However, legroom was limited. Surprisingly, the front seats – well, actually, the bench for two was fully reclining and connected to the back seats, creating a giant chaise lounge. I guess the Cube made a good home, too. Or at least it wasn’t as much of a problem as finding a reservation room. Not very powerful, but enough for a good ride, the Cube was available with a CVT transmission that made the most of the engine. Plus, it was very economical in that combination. In Europe, the Cube was equipped with a 1.5-liter diesel or 1.6-liter gasoline engine. For other markets different power units were available.
