Ford Mondeo Generations
Ford Mondeo Wagon 2019 (2019, 2020, 2021), 8 generation
The fourth generation Mondeo has undergone significant changes for 2019. Not only in appearance, but also in technology. Thanks to the roomy trunk, the station wagon was one of the most spacious cars in its class. The car’s exterior featured a new trapezoidal grille with a three-dimensional effect. Titanium trims had horizontal chrome trim strips. The lower apron also featured a new grille and new fog lights. Smaller fenders were added to the sides for the ST version. At the rear, the C-shaped taillights were crossed by a stylish satin silver or chrome trim, depending on the car version.
Ford Mondeo Wagon 2015 (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), 7 generation
Two important improvements were brought by the 2015 Mondeo: the hybrid powerplant and the AWD system. The hybrid system offers a mix made from a 2.0-liter Atkinson gasoline engine that offers 140 hp, plus an electric motor of 120 hp. It is mated to a CVT gearbox.
Ford Mondeo Wagon 2007 (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014), 6 generation
Featuring a new design language, named kinetic-design, the Mondeo represented Ford’s biggest car on the European market. Its front grille left the rounded sides of the trapezoidal shape from its predecessor and adopted sharper, straight lines. On the other hand, the headlights were swept on the sides, with a bigger interior side. A wider lower grille was installed on the apron. The station wagon version featured a longer roofline and, in the back, vertically mounted taillights.
Ford Mondeo Wagon 2005 (2005, 2006, 2007), 5 generation
The 2005 model received a new engine lineup, including the Duratorq diesel engines offered in four different power outputs.
Ford Mondeo Wagon 2003 (2003, 2004, 2005), 4 generation
While it was still a market leader in some countries, the Mondeo MKII received an update in the summer of 2003. The carmaker introduced new features and a few changes to the interior. The change was not necessary for the drivetrain since the following pollution norms were introduced in 2005 when Ford launched the second facelift for a car that lasted only seven years on the market.
Ford Mondeo Wagon 2000 (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003), 3 generation
Shortly after its introduction, the Mondeo became the market leader in several countries. Its new design was a far cry from its predecessor. It was a completely new design concept called “New Edge Design”. But Ford had to make some sacrifices and improve the car twice: in 2003 and 2005. 2003 and 2005. On the outside, the Mondeo Wagon featured a front grille and triangular, bent-back headlights. A two-plate lower grille was installed in the lower part of the bumper. Depending on the trim chosen, Ford installed fog lamps in the front bumper. The Mondeo Wagon had a longer roof after the center pillar to accommodate a larger trunk. Its volume was 540 liters (19 cubic feet) with all seats up, while it reached 1,700 liters (60 cubic feet) with the rear seats folded down.
