Kia Ceed Generations

Kia Ceed 2018 (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021), 5 generation

The Ceed was made and designed in Europe, the 2018 model brought a fresh design with headlights similar to the sporty Stinger and a refined backrest a bit like the BMW 1 Series. The Ceed’s interior was nothing fancy, but it offered comfort and practicality. Passengers had more than enough head and legroom, except for the middle seat in the back, which was mostly suitable for short people because of the limited legroom. The Ceed had a 295-liter trunk and a 12-volt outlet. It was offered with 5 engine options, all of which met the Euro 6 criteria. Even the standard version of the Ceed came with 6 airbags, 4 power windows, power and heated mirrors, an armrest, bluetooth, air conditioning, and lane assist, autonomous emergency braking and a fatigue monitor.

Kia Ceed 2015 (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021), 4 generation

The visual differences between the old car and the updated second-generation Kia C’eed are subtle, but make the car more modern. While retaining the shape of the engine grille and “tiger nose” headlights, the updated model has new chrome trim around the fog lights, the grille mesh is now oval in shape, and the bumper has a more angular design that makes the car look wider. The rear end also has an updated bumper, and the taillights have been updated with LED technology to make their light signature look more dynamic at night. The updated exterior is complemented by new 16-inch and 17-inch alloy wheels for different interior trim levels.

Kia Ceed 2012 (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021), 3 generation

The 2013 Kia Cee’d is lower and lower than its predecessor, making it look sleeker while the redesigned front fascia gives it a more robust, sporty look. The ride and handling have been refined to offer the same performances as near-premium competitors. The interior has been sound proofed a bit better, there’s more space and high-quality equipment adorns the dashboard.

Kia Ceed 2009 (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012), 2 generation

The Cee’d was designed and engineered for the European market. The compact hatchback was taking the market by storm, and the demands exceeded the speed of production. Its main attributes were decent pricing, a 7-year warranty, and the car’s performance specifications. Design was another plus. For 2009, all of the above, except the warranty, was strengthened. There was a new design trend in the European C-segment market. The car got a new headlight design and a new grille. The LED taillights were redesigned accordingly to match the front end. The overall length of the car was increased by 25 mm (0.98 inch) by increasing the front and rear bumper. A new set of 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels was added to the list of options. A new four-spoke steering wheel was installed inside, and a three-cylinder instrument cluster design improved driver comfort. Unlike the pre-facelifted version, it now had yellow backlighting for all the dials and buttons on the center console. The latter also received a new button layout. The quality of the material was improved. Full leather upholstery and carbon fiber trim were available in the list of options.

Kia Ceed 2007 (2007, 2008, 2009), 1 generation

Although the C’eed was aimed at a family car, inside it looked quite compact and sporty, with a 3-spoke steering wheel and a three-disc instrument cluster. The controls were intuitively placed and easy to use while driving. The C’eed was equipped with power front and rear windows and two electronically adjustable exterior mirrors. The C’eed had plenty of room for both front and rear passengers. The trunk was also a good size, and by folding down the rear seats (60/40 split), it was possible to increase the luggage space. Five engine options from 90 to 140 hp were available. Kia’s new 1.6-litre diesel engine was developed in Europe for the 2007 C’eed.
